Geotechnical Extreme Events Reconnaissance (GEER) Association workshop at UCLA

The Geotechnical Extreme Events Reconnaissance (GEER) Association will be hosting a reconnaissance workshop at UCLA on December 5th. The workshop will train participants on important aspects of reconnaissance, including lessons learned from past reconnaissance (including the Oso Landslide), pre-reconnaissance investigations including the use of remote sensing to capture site data, methods of reconnaissance at sites of liquefaction-induced ground failure, discussion of innovative tools such as TLS-LiDAR and SASW, and data integration and reporting. The workshop will include a field exercise in which participants will collect damage observations and integrate them using a tablet/laptop.
