Governor Drops Plan to Eliminate/Consolidate Boards

Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger dropped his plan to eliminate or consolidate 88 boards and commissions, including the Board for Geologists and Geophysicists, the State Mining and Geology Board and the Seismic Safety Commission. The CPR and his GRP1 that affected our profession are officially dropped. However, we believe that future changes may be proposed and we should be ready for that time.
